- Predominated across northwestern Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and Sudan.

- Recorded in the rest of the region.
High Rainfall exceeding 200mm
- Observed in western Ethiopia and western South Sudan.
Moderate rainfall of between 101 and 200mm
- Observed in western Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, western Eritrea, and northern parts of Uganda and western parts of Kenya.
Light rainfall between 11 and 100 mm
- Observed along the coastal and northwestern parts of Tanzania, western Rwanda, much of Uganda, western and coastal Kenya, the southern coastal and northern parts of Somalia, several parts of Ethiopia, southeastern South Sudan, northern Sudan, Djibouti, and western Eritrea.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm
- Recorded across most parts of Tanzania, several parts of Kenya and Somalia, southeastern and eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, and northern Sudan.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions
- Recorded in a few areas in the region including Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions
- Observed in northwestern Tanzania, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia and central parts of Sudan.
