Rainfall
Moderate rainfall exceeding 200mm was observed in western and southern parts of Tanzania, and in few isolated areas in southwestern Ethiopia and western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall of between 100mm and 200mm was observed in southwestern Ethiopia, in eastern and southern Uganda, in western and central Kenya, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northern and central Tanzania
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was recorded in central and southern Eritrea, in coastal Djibouti, in much of northern, central, and eastern Ethiopia, in much of South Sudan, in northern Uganda, in southern Somalia, and in northern, eastern and coastal Kenya.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in areas of much of the rest of the region.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in southern parts of Ethiopia, in southeastern South Sudan, in eastern Uganda, in several parts of northern and eastern Kenya, in southern and central parts of Somalia, and in western and southern parts of Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in northern to southwestern South Sudan, in western Eritrea, in parts of northern Ethiopia, in northeastern parts of Somalia, in northwestern Uganda, in several parts of Rwanda, and in northern Burundi.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Wetter and much wetter than usual condition was observed in southern Ethiopia, in several parts of Kenya, in parts of southeastern South Sudan., in central and southern Somalia, in eastern Uganda, and in parts of northeast and southwestern Tanzania.
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in northern and western South Sudan, in southern Eritrea, northern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern Somalia, in eastern and southwestern Rwanda, and in northern Burundi.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
