Moderate rainfall (500 - 1000 mm) was observed over western and north-western parts of Ethiopia, western parts of South Sudan, a few parts in north-west and south-east Uganda, and parts of western Kenya.

Light rainfall (200 - 500 mm) was observed in southern parts of Sudan, western Eritrea, parts of western, northern, and central Ethiopia, several parts of South Sudan, several parts of Uganda, parts of western Kenya, and northern and western parts of Rwanda.

Rainfall between 10 - 200 mm was observed in several parts of western, central, and eastern Sudan, several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti, north-eastern, eastern, and southern Ethiopia, much of Somalia, much of northern, central, eastern, and coastal parts of Kenya, several parts of Burundi, and northern and eastern parts of Tanzania.

Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) were observed in northern parts of Sudan, some places in north-western and north-central Kenya, a few isolated areas in north-eastern and central Somalia, and much of central, western, and southern Tanzania.

Wetter and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in western, central, and eastern parts of Sudan, several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, north-eastern parts of Ethiopia, parts of western Kenya, and a few areas in south-western Uganda and northern Rwanda.

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the southern parts of Sudan, south-western Eritrea, much of South Sudan, north-western, western, central, southwestern, and eastern parts of Ethiopia, several parts of Uganda, parts of western Kenya, eastern and southern Rwanda, northern Burundi, and parts of north-western Tanzania.

Drier and much drier than usual conditions were observed in parts of northern Sudan, north-east and southern Somalia, southern and eastern parts of Ethiopia, much of northern, central, eastern, and coastal Kenya, southern Burundi, and several parts of Tanzania.

Moderate to severely wetter than usual rainfall conditions were observed in western, central, and eastern parts of Sudan, north-western and central parts of Eritrea, several parts of Djibouti, north-eastern parts of Ethiopia, south-western and south-eastern parts of Uganda, parts of western Kenya, and northern Rwanda.

Usual rainfall conditions were observed in several parts of the southern parts of Sudan, south-western and southern Eritrea, several parts of South Sudan, much of northern, central, and far eastern Ethiopia, north-western, central, and south-western Somalia, several parts of Uganda, southern Rwanda, north-western Burundi, parts of northern and eastern Kenya, and eastern margins of western Kenya.

Moderately drier than usual to extremely dry conditions were observed in northern parts and south-central parts of Sudan, parts south-western and south-eastern South Sudan, parts of western, southern, and eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern and southern parts of Somalia, several parts of north-western, central, eastern and coastal Kenya, much of Burundi, and much of Tanzania.
