Rainfall
High rainfall amounts exceeding 1000mm was observed in the southern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall amounts of between 500-1000mm were observed in several parts of Tanzania, in southern Burundi and in part of western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall between 100 - 500 mm was observed in southwestern Ethiopia, in central and southern Uganda, in western, central, southern and coastal Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northern parts of Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was observed in coastal Eritrea, in coastal Djibouti, in northeastern, central and southwestern Ethiopia, in southern South Sudan, in northern Uganda, and in northern and eastern Kenya.
Dry conditions of no rainfall less than 10mm were observed in several parts of Sudan, western Eritrea, southern Djibouti, northwestern, western and eastern Ethiopia, in northern and central South Sudan, in northeastern Kenya, and in several parts of Somalia
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in much of Somalia, in several parts of western Uganda, in western and coastal parts of Kenya, in central and southwestern parts of Ethiopia.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed much of Djibouti, Somalia and eastern Ethiopia, in parts of central South Sudan, and in northeastern and eastern Kenya
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Moderate to extremely wet rainfall conditions were observed several parts of Tanzania, in eastern parts of Uganda, in western and northern coast of Kenya, in southern Burundi, and in parts of southwestern and central Ethiopia.
Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in central parts of South Sudan, in southern Eritrea, in several parts of Djibouti and Somalia, in eastern Ethiopia, in northeastern Kenya, and in northern Burundi.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
