Rainfall

Heavy rainfall between 300 – 500 mm were observed in the western parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall between 100 - 300 mm were observed in the southern parts of Sudan, in northwestern and western Ethiopia, in several parts of South Sudan, in much of northern, central and southeastern Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm observed over southern parts of Sudan, in western Eritrea, southeast South Sudan, central and northeastern parts of Ethiopia, in southeastern Somalia, in southwestern Uganda, and in central and coastal parts of Kenya
Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) were observed in central and northern Sudan, in coastal and southern Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in northeaster, eastern and southern Ethiopia, in much of north, central and southwestern Somalia, in much of northern, central, eastern and southern Kenya, and in much of Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania.

Wetter to much wetter than usual conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, western Eritrea, in eastern part of South Sudan, in northwestern and central parts of Uganda, and in part of western Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions observed over in several parts of South Sudan, in central Eritrea, in western and central Ethiopia, in much of the rest of Uganda, and in western Kenya.
Drier than usual conditions observed in southern northeastern and southern Ethiopia, in northern and southern Somalia, in northwestern, central ad coastal Kenya, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northern and eastern Tanzania.

Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in western Eritrea, in eastern and western South Sudan, in northern and western Ethiopia, in northwestern and central Uganda, and in parts of western Kenya.
Moderately drier than usual to severely dry conditions were observed in some parts of northeastern, eastern and southern Ethiopia, in southern Somalia, in northern, eastern and coastal parts of Kenya, in parts of eastern Tanzania, and in much of Rwanda and Burundi.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
