Launch of the IGAD Regional Focus of the 2026 Global Report on Food Crises
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) will launch the IGAD Regional Focus of the 2026 Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) on 24 September 2026, from 09:00–13:00 EAT.
The launch will convene representatives from IGAD member states, UN agencies, development and humanitarian partners, civil society and other stakeholders to review the latest evidence on food insecurity, malnutrition and displacement across the IGAD region.
It will also provide a platform for dialogue on addressing food crises and strengthening resilience.
