Rainfall

- Heavy rainfall (between 100-200 mm) observed in isolated areas in north-western Ethiopia.
- Moderate rainfall (between 50-100 mm) observed in most parts of South Sudan, northern Uganda, central and western Ethiopia, and western Kenya.
- Light rainfall (between 25-50 mm) observed in southern parts of Sudan, central Uganda, most parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and Lake Victoria region of Tanzania.
- Rainfall range between 5-25 mm observed over the central part of Sudan, eastern Ethiopia, and north-western Somalia.
- Usual dry (usually dry in this time of season) conditions in most parts of far northern Sudan; northern, central and southern parts of Kenya; northern Eritrea coasts, central Somalia, and most parts of central and southern Tanzania.

- Much wetter than usual conditions observed in central Sudan, north-western Somalia, south-eastern South Sudan, eastern Ethiopia, Karamoja region of Uganda, south and eastern Burundi, Lake Victoria sides of Kenya, and north-western and Lake Victoria sides of Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions observed over central Sudan, central Ethiopia, western South Sudan, isolated areas in northern Uganda, and most parts of Rwanda and Burundi.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in sporadic areas in southern parts of Sudan, north-western South Sudan, northern and central Uganda, and western and central Ethiopia.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions observed in costal parts of Kenya, southern coasts of Somalia.

- Severely wet conditions observed in central Sudan, north-western and eastern Ethiopia, Lake Victoria sides of Kenya, north-western Somalia, eastern and south-eastern South Sudan, Karamoja region of Uganda, south and eastern Burundi, and north-western and Lake Victoria sides of Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions observed in sporadic areas in central parts of Sudan, north-western and south-western South Sudan, western and central Ethiopia; and northern, south-western and central Uganda.
- Moderate drier than usual conditions observed in isolated areas in north-eastern Ethiopia, costal parts of Kenya, and southern coasts of Somalia.
