The 2nd Eastern Africa Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Action (EADP-2) will take place in Mombasa this October, under the theme Transforming Risk into Resilience. The platform will focus on shifting anticipatory action from pilot initiatives to institutionalised, government-led systems supported by sustainable financing, strong partnerships, and evidence-based policy. EADP-2 will bring together governments, humanitarian and development partners, researchers, the private sector, national, regional and global institutions.
Building on the outcomes of EADP-1 and the Mombasa Declaration 2024, the dialogue platform will:
- Review regional progress and lessons on anticipatory action.
- Strengthen coordination and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
