IGAD at the Africa Climate Summit- ACS2
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is proud to host a Pavilion at the Africa Climate Summit 2 (ACS2) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, showcasing the region’s leadership in climate resilience, adaptation, green jobs and development and sustainable development.
The IGAD Pavilion will feature a series of side events highlighting partners, member states and IGAD’s work on climate services, early warning systems, food security, water resources, health, migration, and conflict prevention. These events will bring together Ministers, UN agencies, humanitarian organisations, NGOs, and other key partners to share knowledge and best practices for building resilience in the IGAD region.
Beyond the Pavilion, IGAD will actively engage in ACS2 through contributions to high-level discussions and partnerships across the Summit. IGAD’s participation reflects its commitment to amplifying the voices of its Member States and ensuring that the unique challenges and opportunities of the Greater Horn of Africa are well represented in global climate dialogues.
