IGAD Member State Agriculture and Food Security Focal Points Virtual Training on Agriculture Monitoring for Eastern Africa using Earth Observation for Crop and Rangelands
The training workshop is intended to equip member states agriculture and food security focal points and agrometeorological experts with the knowledge and skills to facilitate the adoption and use of the Agriculture Monitoring for Eastern Africa System for agricultural monitoring activities, early warning and response planning anticipation at national and sub-national levels.
The training will adopt a mix of presentations and hands-on approach allowing the experts to interact with the system, make inferences, and create products from the system. The trainees are in return expected to conduct future trainings to equip wider audiences in their countries.
