- Wetter than usual conditions expected over a few areas in western Sudan, western and eastern Ethiopia, western Kenya, and eastern and south-western Uganda.
- Drier than usual conditions likely over most parts of Sudan, northern, western, and south-eastern South Sudan, central to northern Uganda, western Kenya, central to northern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Eritrea.
- The rest of the region will be generally dry
