- Warmer than usual conditions expected over most parts of the region.
- Near normal temperature conditions expected over localized areas in the central parts of Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over equatorial parts of the region, including Somalia, southern Ethiopia, central to eastern South Sudan, much of Uganda, western and coastal parts of Kenya, few places in Rwanda, northern and coastal Tanzania.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over a few areas of southern Somalia, north-western South Sudan, and central Uganda.
- The rest of the region is generally dry during this month.
