- Average temperatures likely over central to northern Ethiopia, central to southern South Sudan, and north-western Uganda.
- Drier than normal conditions expected over Kenya, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania.
- Near average to wetter than usual conditions expected over isolated areas in north-eastern Somalia, south-western Uganda, and western Tanzania.
- Somalia, Ethiopia, northern Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea are generally dry in December.
