Temperature
- Warmer than normal conditions are expected over northern Sudan and eastern parts of the region.
- Normal temperature conditions are expected over much of central Sudan, western and north-eastern Ethiopia, south-western Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and much of western to southern Tanzania.
- Cooler than normal conditions are expected over northern and parts of western Ethiopia, South Sudan, southern Sudan, north-western Kenya, much of Uganda, and part of south-western Tanzania.
- Wetter than normal conditions expected over central to northern Ethiopia, western and part of coastal Kenya, over parts of the Karamoja cluster, and few places in South Sudan and Sudan.
- Normal conditions are expected over much of South Sudan, southern areas of Sudan, and areas in eastern Uganda.
- Drier than normal conditions expected over central and south-eastern Uganda, Lake Victoria Basin in Kenya, parts of south-western and eastern Ethiopia extending to parts of northern Somalia, and a small area in southern Sudan.
- Northern Sudan, much of Kenya, south-eastern Ethiopia, central Somalia Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi are generally dry during this month.
