Temperature
- Warmer than usual conditions expected over most parts of the region.
- Usual temperatures likely to be recorded over most part of eastern Ethiopia, north-eastern Kenya extending to adjacent areas of Somalia and western Tanzania.
- Cooler than usual temperatures expected over cross-border areas of Kenya and Somalia, north-eastern Ethiopia, and central to north-western Tanzania.
- Wetter than normal conditions expected over central parts of the region, south-eastern Ethiopia, much of Somalia, and coastal Tanzania.
- Normal conditions expected over a few areas of southern South Sudan, western Kenya, central Uganda, and central as well as southern Somalia.
- Drier than normal conditions expected over parts of eastern Uganda and southern and western South Sudan.
