The 71st Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF71) was held from 25th to 26th August 2025, at the Trade Mark Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. It was organized by the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) in collaboration with the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and other partners. The forum took place virtually and in-person and its objectives were to review and document progress and impacts of the June to August 2025 season, release the consolidated objective regional climate outlook for the October to December 2025 season, discuss the implications of the OND 2025 climate forecast, and develop advisories and management strategies for various climate-sensitive socio-economic sectors.
