The 70th Greater Horn of Africa Climate Outlook Forum (GHACOF 70) was held from 19 - 20 May 2025, organised by the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) in collaboration with the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) of the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and other international partners and hosted by the Ethiopia Meteorological Institute. The forum aimed at reviewing and documenting the performance and impacts of the March to May 2025 season, releasing the consolidated objective regional climate outlook for the JJAS 2025 season, discussing the implications of the JJAS 2025 climate forecast, and developing advisories and management strategies in various climate-sensitive socioeconomic sectors.
