A drier than usual September to November season is expected in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, western parts of Eritrea, and coastal Sudan.
- Drier than usual conditions are expected over southwestern South Sudan, much of southeastern Ethiopia, much of Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, western parts of Eritrea, and coastal Sudan. Stakeholders are advised to take the necessary mitigation measures to avoid the potential consequences.
- Wetter than usual conditions are expected over eastern South Sudan, western and northern Ethiopia, around the Karamoja cluster and western Uganda.
- Normal conditions are expected over parts of southwestern and northern Ethiopia, southeastern Sudan, much of Uganda, and parts of western Kenya.
