Rainfall
Temperature
- High daily-mean temperatures above 30˚C expected over much of South Sudan, north-western and eastern Kenya extending to Somalia.
- Moderate daily-mean temperatures between 20 - 30˚C likely to be recorded in the rest of the region.
- Low daily-mean temperatures below 20˚C expected over parts of central, northern and eastern Ethiopia, extending to northern parts of Somalia; northern parts of Sudan; central and south-western Kenya; western parts of Burundi and Rwanda; and localized areas in Tanzania.
- Heavy rainfall above 200 mm is expected over central, north and eastern Tanzania; and eastern Burundi.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 50 - 200 mm expected over western and southern Tanzania, southern and south-western Kenya, and much or Burundi.
- Light rainfall below 50 mm expected over Uganda, Rwanda and the rift along Ethiopia.
- The rest of the region is expected to remain dry.
