Temperature
- High daily-mean temperatures above 32 oC expected over South Sudan - Sudan border region, extending to eastern Sudan into western Ethiopia and Eritrea. Regions in eastern Kenya, southern and central Somalia, central South Sudan, southeastern Ethiopia, and much of Eritrea are expected to experience temperatures between 30 and 32 oC.
- Moderate daily-mean temperatures between 20 - 30 oC expected over Uganda, northern and southern Tanzania, eastern Rwanda, parts of southern and western Kenya, parts of central Ethiopia, parts of northeastern Somalia, Djibouti and northern Sudan.
- Low daily-mean temperatures below 20 oC expected over western Rwanda, Burundi, central Kenya, southwestern Tanzania and parts of central Ethiopia.
- Heavy rainfall above 200 mm expected over most parts of central and western Kenya, southwestern South Sudan, coastal regions of central Somalia, and northwestern regions along the Ethiopian rift.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 50 - 200 mm expected over much of South Sudan, southeastern Ethiopia to central Somalia, northern Kenya, parts of western and northern Uganda, western Rwanda and Djibouti.
- Light rainfall below 30 mm expected over Tanzania, southwestern and northeastern Somalia, Eritrea, part of central Uganda, northern Ethiopia and northern South Sudan.
- Sudan, Eastern Kenya extending to Somalia, and central Tanzania are expected to remain dry.
