Temperature
- High daily-mean temperatures above 32˚C expected over eastern and northwestern Kenya; Eastern parts of South Sudan, western tip of Ethiopia and Southern Somalia.
- Low daily-mean temperatures below 20˚C expected over central and rift valley parts of Ethiopia and Kenya; northern parts of Sudan and Somalia; and parts of Rwanda and Burundi.
- Heavy rainfall above 200 mm expected over localized areas in southern Tanzania.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 50 to 200 mm expected over central and northern Tanzania, extending into south western Kenya.
- The rest of the region is expected to receive less than 30 mm of rainfall or remain dry.
