Temperature
- High daily-mean temperatures above 28˚C expected in northern and eastern Kenya, eastern Somalia, and south-eastern Tanzania.
- Moderate daily-mean temperatures between 20-28 ˚C expected in parts of northern and southern Ethiopia, western Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, southern Sudan, and parts of northern Somalia.
- Daily-mean temperatures less than 20 ˚C in northern, central Ethiopia, parts of northern Somalia, central Kenya, parts of eastern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and parts of southern Tanzania.
- Heavy rainfall above 200 mm expected in southern and western Tanzania, and central Burundi.
- Moderate rainfall between 50-200 mm expected in northern and coastal Tanzania, western and coastal Kenya, south-western Uganda, Rwanda, and south-western Ethiopia.
- Light rainfall less than 20 mm expected in south-eastern South Sudan, central and northern Uganda, coastal regions of Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, central Kenya, south-western Somalia, and parts of central Ethiopia.
- The rest of the region is expected to remain relatively dry in southern, eastern and northern Ethiopia; much of Sudan, western South Sudan, eastern Uganda, northern Kenya, and central Somalia.
