Rainfall
Temperature
- High daily-mean temperatures above 30˚C expected over north-eastern, eastern and south-eastern Kenya, and south-western Somalia.
- Moderate daily-mean temperatures between 20-30˚C expected over eastern and northern Kenya, South Sudan, southern Sudan, Uganda, much of Somalia, and Tanzania.
- Low daily-mean temperatures below 20˚C expected over much of Sudan, central and northern parts of eastern Ethiopia, extending to northern Somalia, and parts of western Kenya.
- Very heavy rainfall above 200 mm expected over most of the southern Tanzania and few areas of southern Burundi.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 mm and 200 mm expected over central and northern Tanzania, southern and coastal Kenya, parts of south-western and north-eastern Ethiopia, parts of coastal Eritrea, and Djibouti.
- The rest of the region is expected to receive little rainfall below 30 mm or remain dry.
