A general reduction of rainfall in equatorial Eastern Africa and a shift to the northern region.
- Heavy rainfall above 200 mm expected over parts of western Ethiopia & the southwestern border of Sudan and South Sudan.
- Moderate to heavy rainfall between 50-200 mm is expected over most parts of South Sudan, southern parts of Sudan, parts of western & eastern Ethiopia, parts of central & western Kenya, and coastal Somalia.
- Light rainfall below 50 mm is expected over southeastern South Sudan, much of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, southern & northern parts of Somalia, southern & eastern Tanzania, much of Sudan, western Eritrea, and coastal Kenya.
- Generally dry conditions are expected in much of central Tanzania, parts of southern & northern Kenya, southeastern & northern Ethiopia, Djibouti, much of Eritrea, and parts of central Somalia.
High daily mean-temperatures above 32℃ expected in many parts of the region
- High daily mean-temperatures above 32℃ expected in much of eastern and southern Sudan, northeastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, coastal Eritrea, and part of central & northwestern Somalia.
- Moderate daily mean-temperatures between 20-30 ̊C expected over Uganda, much of Ethiopia, much of Tanzania, much of Somalia, western & central SouthSudan, and eastern & northern Kenya.
- Low daily mean-temperatures below 20 ̊C expected over Rwanda, Burundi, central Kenya, southern, central & northern Tanzania, and much of central Ethiopia.
