The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC) is part of the Strengthening Early Warning Systems for Anticipatory Actions (SEWAA), a multi-year project funded by Google and led by the World Food Programme (WFP). Other technical partner institutions include ECMWF, University of Oxford, and University of Bristol.

ICPAC will be implementing a set of activities together that requires the expertise of a Climate Forecaster (Machine Learning Expert) to improve ICPAC's forecast products and the way forecast data is used to generate early warning information for early action.

S/he will support the integration of forecast products into ICPAC's operations and systems, working together with the Data Officer/ Developer. Appropriately qualified applicants are eligible to apply.
