Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected in most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA).
Rainfall anomalies
- Drier than usual conditions expected over parts of Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate to hot temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over most parts of South Sudan, Uganda, northern and eastern Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, Djibouti and southern Sudan.
- Mild conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ expected over northern Sudan, central Ethiopia and Eritrea, parts of northern Somalia, central to western Kenya and isolated regions in northern and south-western Tanzania.
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over southern Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over south-western Kenya, central to northern Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and some coastal regions of Sudan, Eritrea and northern Somalia.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Uganda and northern and eastern Kenya.
