Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures are expected in most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa.
Rainfall anomalies
- Drier than usual conditions expected over western and eastern parts of Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over parts of northern and southern Tanzania, western Burundi, eastern Rwanda, southern South Sudan, most parts of Uganda, and central to northern Ethiopia.
Exceptional rainfall
- Heavy (top 10%) rainfall is expected over isolated areas of central and southern Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Hot temperatures above 32 ℃ expected over central to eastern South Sudan.
- Moderate to hot temperatures between 20 - 32 ℃ expected over most parts of Sudan, central to western South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, Uganda, eastern Burundi, eastern Rwanda, and Tanzania.
- Mild conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Ethiopia, central to western Kenya, northern Somalia, and western regions of Rwanda and Burundi.
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200 mm) is expected over Rwanda, Burundi, western to southern Tanzania, south-western Uganda, and central Ethiopia.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) is expected over central Ethiopia, southern South Sudan, Djibouti, south-eastern to north-eastern Uganda, coastal Somalia, eastern Tanzania, and isolated areas in Kenya.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, northern South Sudan, Eritrea, central to northern Somalia, eastern and northern Kenya, and eastern Uganda.
