Temperature
Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected in most parts of Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, northern Somalia, and south-eastern South Sudan.
- Colder than usual temperatures expected in Sudan, northern South Sudan, eastern Kenya, and south-western Somalia.
Rainfall anomalies
- Drier than usual conditions expected over parts of Rwanda, Burundi, and eastern Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over central to southern Tanzania.
Exceptional rainfall
- Heavy (top 10%) rainfall expected over isolated areas of central to southern Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate to hot temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over most parts of southern Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.
- Mild conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Ethiopia, central to western Kenya, northern Somalia, and other isolated areas within the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA).
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over central to southern Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over Burundi and northern and eastern Tanzania.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, and Rwnada.
