Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected in most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA).
- Cooler than usual temperatures expected in eastern Kenya, southern Somalia, and other isolated areas across the GHA.
Rainfall anomalies
- Wetter than usual conditions expected in parts of central to southern Tanzania and Burundi.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over much of western Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over southern to eastern Sudan, South Sudan, central to northern Uganda, northern and eastern Kenya, and most parts of Tanzania, Somalia, and Djibouti.
- Cold conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Sudan, central and eastern parts of Ethiopia, Eritrea, northern Somalia, parts of southern Uganda, western parts of Rwanda, Burundi and Kenya, and isolated areas in southern and northern Tanzania.
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over southern to central Tanzania and most parts of Burundi.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over Rwanda and parts of southern Uganda, northern and eastern Tanzania, and south-western Kenya.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda.
