Temperature
- Warm temperatures above 32℃ are expected in northern Sudan, coastal Eritrea, the Afar region in Ethiopia, and the northern coastal region of Somalia.
- Moderate temperatures between 20 - 32 ℃ are expected in central and southern Sudan, South Sudan, south-eastern and north-eastern Ethiopia, Somalia, eastern and northern Kenya, central and northern Uganda, and parts of north-western and eastern Tanzania.
- Relatively cold conditions with temperatures less than 20℃ are expected in central and western Ethiopia, central and western Kenya, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and much of Tanzania.
Headline: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over parts of northern Ethiopia, Eritrea, southern Sudan, and north-eastern South Sudan. Stakeholders are advised to take the necessary measures to protect lives and livelihoods.
Rainfall
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall (top 10 to 5% on record) is expected north-eastern Ethiopia and South Sudan, the southern part of Sudan, Djibouti, and most of Eritrea. Rainfall amounts above 200 mm are expected in a few places.
- Moderate rainfall between 50 - 100 mm is expected over much of South Sudan, central and northern Ethiopia, parts of southern and northern Eritrea, and parts of southern Sudan.
- Light rainfall of less than 30 mm is expected over southern parts of central to north-western Sudan, southern Ethiopia, parts of central, western and coastal Kenya, parts of southern Tanzania, Ethiopia, southern Eritrea, much of Uganda, Rwanda, central Sudan, and southern and northern coastal regions of Somalia.
- Dry conditions are expected in much of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, central and western Tanzania, eastern and northern Kenya, central Somalia, southern Ethiopia, and northern Sudan.
