Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected in most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA).
- Cooler than usual temperatures expected in parts of northern Sudan and parts of the coastal regions of Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania.
Rainfall anomalies
- Drier than usual conditions expected over parts of southern Tanzania.
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over parts of western Tanzania, Burundi, and Rwanda.
Exceptional rainfall
- Heavy (top 10%) rainfall expected over isolated areas of Burundi and western to central Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate to hot temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over most parts of southern Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
- Mild conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Ethiopia, northern Sudan, central to western Kenya, northern Somalia, and western regions of Rwanda and Burundi
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over Rwanda, Burundi, and central to western Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over central Ethiopia, southern Uganda, northern and eastern Tanzania, and south-western Kenya.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, eastern and northern Kenya, and eastern Uganda.
