Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures are expected in the southern, central, and eastern parts of the Greater Horn of Africa.
- Cooler than usual temperatures are predicted over parts of western and northern Sudan.
Rainfall anomalies
- Wetter than usual conditions expected over north-central and eastern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, central Kenya, western Uganda, north-western Tanzania, parts of Burundi and Rwanda, and a few isolated areas in south-eastern South Sudan.
- Drier than usual conditions predicted over parts of eastern and southern Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over southern and eastern parts of Sudan, South Sudan, south-eastern and north-eastern Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, central to northern Uganda, and most parts of Tanzania.
- Cold conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Sudan, central to northern Ethiopia, central Eritrea, parts of northern Somalia, southern Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and central to western Kenya.
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over parts of north-central Ethiopia, north-western coastal Somalia, central Kenya, western Rwanda, Burundi, and central to western Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over central and eastern Ethiopia, north-western Somalia, parts of eastern and western Kenya, western Uganda, eastern Rwanda, northern and eastern Tanzania, and a few areas in south-eastern South Sudan.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, northern and western South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, southern and north-western Ethiopia, north-eastern Uganda, and parts of central Somalia.
