Temperature anomalies
- Warmer than usual temperatures expected in most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa (GHA).
- Cooler than usual temperatures expected in central to northern Sudan, a few areas in southern Tanzania and south-eastern Kenya, and other isolated regions within the GHA.
Rainfall anomalies
- Wetter than usual conditions expected in most parts of Burundi and eastern and southern Tanzania.
- Drier than usual conditions expected over parts of central, northern, and south-western Tanzania.
Mean temperatures
- Moderate temperatures (20 - 32 ℃) expected over most parts of South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Djibouti, and Eritrea.
- Cold conditions (less than 20℃) expected over central to northern Sudan, parts of central and eastern Ethiopia into northern Somalia, central to western Kenya, and a few areas in Burundi, Rwanda, and southern Tanzania.
Total rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over Burundi and most parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over Rwanda, southern Uganda, south-western Kenya, and coastal regions of Kenya, Somalia, Eritrea, and Sudan.
- Dry conditions expected over most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, northern and eastern Kenya, and northern Uganda.
