Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in western, central and southeastern Uganda, in southeastern South Sudan, in several parts of Burundi, in northwestern, western and southern Tanzania, in parts of northwestern and southeastern Kenya, and in parts of southwestern Ethiopia.

Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in a few areas in central and southeastern Kenya, and in a few parts of northeastern Tanzania.

Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in central to southwestern Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan, and in several parts of Uganda, Kenya, Burundi and Tanzania.

Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in parts of western, central and southern Kenya extending to northeastern Tanzania.

No rainfall condition was observed in in much of Sudan, Somalia, western Eritrea, in parts of Djibouti, in several parts of South Sudan, in northern, northwestern, northeastern and eastern Ethiopia, and in parts of northern and northeastern Kenya

Near Normal conditions were observed in Rwanda, southwestern Uganda, in parts of western and central Kenya, and in parts of western and northern Tanzania.

Moderate to high rainfall of between 26-100 mm was observed in parts of western, central and southern Kenya extending to northern, western and central Tanzania, in several parts of Burundi, and in western and eastern parts of Rwanda.

Light rainfall of between 6- 25 mm occurred in central and southern parts of Uganda, in much of Rwanda, in parts of western, central and southeastern Kenya, and much of southern Tanzania.

Rainfall less than 5mm was observed in the rest of the region.
