Maximum Temperature anomalies
  • Warmer than usual maximum temperature recorded over Somalia, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Ethiopia, south-eastern South Sudan and red sea region of Sudan.
  • Cooler than usual maximum temperature recorded in most parts of Sudan, South Sudan, western Uganda, and south-eastern Tanzania.

Minimum Temperature anomalies
  • Warmer than usual minimum temperature recorded over western and eastern parts of Sudan, south and central South Sudan, everywhere in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, and Tanzania.
  • Cooler than usual minimum temperature recorded in central and northern Sudan, northern parts of South Sudan, and south Burundi.
Recent rainfall totals
Very Heavy rainfall (above 200 mm) observed in most parts of highlands of central Ethiopia.
  • Very Heavy rainfall (above 200 mm) observed in most parts of highlands of central Ethiopia.
  • Heavy rainfall (between 100-200 mm) observed in western and south-eastern Sudan, and most parts of Ethiopia.
  • Moderate rainfall (between 50-100 mm) observed in eastern Sudan, north Eritrea, most parts of western and north-eastern South Sudan, northern Uganda, and western Kenya.
  • Light rainfall (between 25-50 mm) observed in southern and central parts of Sudan, central South Sudan, Uganda, western Rwanda, and Burundi.
  • Rainfall range between 5-25 mm observed over northern Sudan, most parts of Djibouti, costal Kenya, and southern parts of Uganda.
  • Usual Dry conditions (usually dry in this time of season) in most parts of Somalia; north-eastern and southern Kenya; most parts of south-eastern Rwanda; north-eastern, eastern and south-eastern Burundi; and most of Tanzania.
