The Kenya Anticipatory Action Roadmap (2024-2029) represents a significant milestone in our collective effort to enhance disaster risk management and resilience in Kenya. This roadmap is a product of extensive collaboration among state and non-state actors dedicated to reducing the adverse impacts of climate-related hazards on vulnerable populations.

It outlines a strategic plan to implement anticipatory actions that mitigate the effects of impending disasters. It is structured around seven guiding pillars: Early Warning, Early Action, Coordination and Governance, Research Innovation and Learning, Policy and Advocacy, Financing, and Monitoring and Evaluation. Each pillar aims to build a robust framework for anticipatory action, ensuring timely and effective responses to forecasted hazards.
