Rainfall

Rainfall exceeding 500mm was observed in central part of Kenya and southern part of Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall between 200mm and 500mm was observed in western and central parts of Kenya and in isolated parts of southwestern Ethiopia, and southern and coastal Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 100mm and 200mm was observed in southern Ethiopia, southwestern parts of South Sudan, in southern Somalia, in much of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi, and in northern, northeastern and western Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was recorded in central and southern Eritrea, in much of northern, central, and eastern Ethiopia, in much of South Sudan, in northern Uganda, in central and northern Somalia, in northwestern and eastern Kenya.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in areas of much of the rest of the region.

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti and Uganda, in central to northeastern Ethiopia, in northern Somalia, in southwestern South Sudan, and in central parts of Tanzania.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in eastern parts of South Sudan in western Ethiopia, in southeastern Sudan, in northern, eastern, central and southeastern Kenya, in southern Somalia and in parts of northern, western and eastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.

Wetter and much wetter than usual condition was observed in southeastern Sudan, extending to western Ethiopia and eastern South Sudan, in several parts of northern, central and eastern Kenya, in southern Somalia, in northern, western and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in southern parts southern parts of Sudan in several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in northeastern and central Ethiopia, in northern Somalia, in western and southwestern South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, and in central Tanzania.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
