Rainfall
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts of Somalia, in northwest and southeastern Ethiopia, in northeastern parts of Kenya, in southwestern and southeastern Sudan, and in western to southeastern Uganda.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in western, central and eastern Sudan, in several part of Eritrea and Djibouti, in northern, central and southwestern Ethiopia extending to eastern and southeastern South Sudan, and northeastern Uganda, in western Rwanda and northwestern Burundi.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Wetter than usual condition was observed in western, central and eastern Sudan, in coastal, central and southern Eritrea, in Djibouti, in northeastern and southwestern Ethiopia extending to southeastern South Sudan, northwestern Kenya and northeastern Uganda, and in western Rwanda and northwestern Burundi.
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed southern and southeastern Ethiopia, in several parts o Somalia, and in western to southeastern Uganda.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Rainfall exceeding 200mm was observed in northwestern and western Ethiopia, in western and eastern South Sudan, and in northeastern Uganda.
Moderate rainfall of between 100mm and 200mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, southwestern Eritrea, in several parts of South Sudan, in northern eastern Uganda, and in western parts of Kenya.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was observed in across the central parts of Sudan, coastal, central and southern Eritrea, in southern Uganda, coastal Kenya and in much of Rwanda.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in much of the rest of Sudan, Somalia, Burundi and Tanzania, in eastern and southern Ethiopia, in northern, eastern, central and south-central Kenya, and in much of Tanzania.
