Rainfall

Rainfall exceeding 200mm was observed in a few areas in western and southwestern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall between 100 - 200 mm was observed in Burundi, southern Rwanda, and northwestern, western, central and parts of eastern Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was recorded in southern Uganda, western, central and southern Kenya, in northern Rwanda, and in northern and coastal Tanzania.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in areas of Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia, northern and central Uganda, and northern and eastern Kenya.

Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in several parts Ethiopia and Uganda, in parts of Djibouti and Eritrea, in southwestern and southeastern South Sudan, in northern and eastern parts of Kenya, and in isolated parts of northern, central, coastal and southeastern Tanzania.
Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed southern parts of Rwanda extending to northern Burundi, and in a few parts of central Kenya and northwestern Tanzania..
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.

Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Ethiopia and Uganda, in parts of Djibouti, in northern eastern and coastal Kenya, and in a few parts of northern, central and coastal parts of Tanzania.
Wetter to much wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few areas in southern Rwanda, northern Burundi, southcentral Kenya, and parts of northwestern Tanzania.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
