Rainfall
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in several parts of Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed across a broad corridor extending from southern [e.g., Tanzania], traversing Kenya and Uganda, and reaching into South Sudan and Ethiopia.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Much Wetter than usual conditions were observed in Burundi.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in areas in Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and some spots in Ethiopia.
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in eastern parts of Tanzania, much of Kenya, eastern Uganda, southern Somalia, S. Sudan and Ethiopia.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Rainfall exceeding 200mm was observed mostly in southern Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall of between 101mm and 200mm was observed in the southern parts of the region including Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda.
Light rainfall between 11 and 100 mm was observed in several areas surrounding the moderate rainfall regions including in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya as well as in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in eastern and northern parts of the region including Ethiopia, Somalia, northern parts of S. Sudan, Sudan, and western Eritrea.
