Rainfall
Rainfall exceeding 200mm was not observed anywhere in the region.
Moderate rainfall of between 101mm and 200mm was observed in the southwestern parts of the region including in western Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, southwestern Uganda and a few areas in Kenya.
Light rainfall between 11 and 100 mm was observed in across most parts of the region including in most parts of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, S. Sudan, southern parts of Somalia, southern parts of Ethiopia, a few parts in Djibouti and Eritrea as well as along the coastal parts of Sudan.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in much of the rest of Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti and in northern Kenya.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in the largest section of the region including Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, S. Sudan, and a few areas in Eritrea.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in a few pockets in northeastern Sudan and southern parts of Tanzania.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Much Wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few pockets in cross border regions between S. Sudan and Sudan, Ethiopia and Sudan, the coastal regions of Sudan and southern Tanzania.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in areas in the vicinity of the above-mentioned regions.
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in most parts of the region from Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, S. Sudan, southern Sudan and central Eritrea.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
