Rainfall
Rainfall exceeding 200mm was observed in western parts of Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall of between 100mm and 200mm was also observed in the western parts of Ethiopia.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was observed in across the central parts of Sudan, in the eastern and southern margins of central Ethiopia in southwestern and western Uganda, in southern Somalia, in southeastern Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and coastal parts of the region.
Little or No rain conditions not exceeding 10mm was observed in much of the rest of Sudan, in coastal, Somalia, Tanzania, in southeastern Ethiopia, and in northern, central and south-central Kenya.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in a few pockets in Sudan, western South Sudan, much of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia and southeastern Ethiopia.
Moderately wet to extremely wet conditions were observed in eastern and northeastern Sudan, central to western parts of Ethiopia, much of Eritrea, Djibouti and northern parts of Somalia and a few parts of northwestern Kenya.
Usual rainfall and no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
Much Wetter than usual conditions were observed in a few pockets in northeastern Sudan, a few pockets in Eritrea, Ethiopia and northern Somalia, an in northwestern Kenya around Lake Turkana.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in eastern Sudan, and in parts of central to northern Ethiopia, northern Ethiopia and a few pockets in Kenya
Drier to much drier than usual conditions were observed in some parts of Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, a few pockets in Tanzania, southeastern Ethiopia, and central Somalia.
Usual or no rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
