Rainfall
Moderate to heavy rainfall of over 200 mm was observed in a few in western Ethiopia, and western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall between 100 - 200 mm observed in western and south-western Ethiopia, western and eastern parts of South Sudan; over much of northern, central and eastern Uganda; much of Rwanda, in western and coastal Kenya, and southern coast of Somalia.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm observed over southern parts of Sudan, western Eritrea; north-western, central and eastern parts of Ethiopia; over much of northern, central and southern parts of South Sudan; in western and south-western Uganda; in north-western, north-eastern, and central parts of Kenya; in much of Burundi, several parts of Somalia, and in northern and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Dry conditions (normal during this time of the year) in most of Sudan, central and southern Eritrea; Djibouti, north-eastern Somalia; north-western, north-central and in eastern parts of Kenya; and in western, central and southern parts of Tanzania.
Wetter than normal conditions observed in a few isolated areas in south-eastern South Sudan and to the region south-eastern of Lake Victoria in Tanzania.
Normal rainfall conditions observed over south-central and south-western parts of Sudan; in several parts of northern, eastern and western South Sudan; in western Ethiopia, over several parts of Uganda, in western and north-eastern parts of Kenya, in southern and central parts of Somalia, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in north-western part of Tanzania.
Moderately drier than normal conditions observed in several areas in the southern part of Sudan, in central and south-western South Sudan, over several parts of Eritrea, Djibouti; in northern, central and eastern Ethiopia; in northern and central parts of Somalia; in north-western, central, eastern and coastal parts of Kenya; in parts of north, central, western and south-western Uganda; and in much of western, central and eastern Tanzania.
Much drier than normal conditions observed in a few isolated areas in north-eastern Ethiopia, and northern Somalia.
Moderately wet conditions were observed in a few isolated areas in south-eastern South Sudan and in the northern part of Tanzania around Lake Victoria.
Normal rainfall conditions were observed in northern and southern parts of Sudan; over much of northern and eastern South Sudan; in western Eritrea; over several parts of western, southern and eastern Ethiopia; much of central and southern Somalia; northern and south-western Kenya; Rwanda, Burundi, north-western and south-western Uganda, and in northern and western Tanzania.
