Rainfall
- Heavy rainfall between 300 - 500 mm was observed over isolated areas in Ethiopia.
- Moderate rainfall between 200 - 300 mm was observed in most parts of the Highlands of central and northern Ethiopia, both western South Sudan, and western Sudan.
- Light rainfall between 100 - 200 mm was observed in most parts of South Sudan, southern and central parts of Sudan, most parts of Ethiopia, most parts of northern Eritrea, Highlands of western Kenya, and central and northern Uganda.
- Rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was observed over central Uganda, south-eastern South Sudan, central Sudan, and eastern and north-eastern Ethiopia.
- Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) were observed in southern and lower eastern parts of Kenya including most parts of Tanzania and Burundi.
- Much wetter than usual conditions were observed in central and north-eastern parts of Sudan, southern parts of Kenya.
- Wetter than usual conditions were observed in much of central, western Darfour and north-eastern parts of Sudan, southern parts of Kenya, north-eastern Ethiopia, and northern Somalia.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed in south-western, north-western and north-eastern South Sudan; central and north-eastern Ethiopia; south-western and central Uganda; most parts of Sudan, western and northern Burundi, and most parts of Burundi.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions were observed in coastal parts and Lake Victoria basin sites of Uganda and Tanzania, most parts of Burundi, and eastern and north-eastern Rwanda.
- Moderately wetter than usual to severely wet conditions were observed in the White Nile state and north-eastern parts of Sudan, and north-eastern Ethiopia.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed in central and north-eastern Ethiopia, south-western Uganda, most parts of Sudan, western and northern Burundi, and most parts of Burundi.
- Moderately drier than usual to severely dry conditions were observed in most parts of South Sudan, western and northern Ethiopia, and northern and southern Uganda.
