Rainfall

Heavy rainfall of between 200 and 500 mm was observed in north-western, western, central, south-western, and parts of eastern and coastal Tanzania.
Moderate rainfall between 100-200 mm was observed in south-western Uganda, in part of south-western and coastal Kenya, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in parts of central and southern Tanzania.
Light rainfall, between 10 and 100 mm, was observed in central and coastal parts of Eritrea, south-western Ethiopia, southern South Sudan, much of Uganda, several parts of Kenya, and the north-eastern part of Tanzania.
No rain and dry conditions were observed in several parts of Sudan, in western and southern parts of Eritrea, in much of Djibouti, in several parts of Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Sudan, as well as in northern and north-eastern Kenya.

Wetter-than-usual conditions were observed in south-western South Sudan, in parts of coastal Kenya, and in north-western, western, central, and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Drier than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia; in south-eastern South Sudan; in much of northern, eastern, and central Kenya; and in northern Burundi.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of Uganda and Rwanda, in southern parts of Burundi, in western and parts of coastal Kenya, and in parts of north-eastern and southern Tanzania.

Moderately wet to severely wet conditions were observed in north-western, western, eastern, and parts of central Tanzania; in parts of coastal Kenya; and in a few areas in south-western and eastern Uganda, as well as in south-western South Sudan.
Moderately dry conditions were observed in parts of central and southern Eritrea, in southern parts of Ethiopia, in southern parts of Somalia, in northern Burundi, in parts of south-eastern South Sudan, and in several parts of northern and central Kenya.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
