Rainfall
- Wetter to much wetter than usual conditions were observed in isolated parts in central Sudan, north-eastern and eastern parts of the Somali region of Ethiopia, southern parts of Kenya, eastern Rwanda and Burundi, and northern Tanzania.
- Usual rainfall conditions were observed in most parts of eastern Tanzania, central and northern Somalia, south-eastern and northern Uganda, western and north-western Kenya, central and western Ethiopia, almost everywhere in South Sudan, southern parts of Sudan, and northern Eritrea.
- Moderately drier than usual conditions were observed in south-western Uganda; lower and upper eastern and coastal parts of Kenya; isolated parts in central Ethiopia, northern Somalia, and south-western Tanzania.
