Rainfall
Drier than usual conditions were observed in Sudan, Djibouti, in western, central and southern Eritrea, in northern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern Somalia, and central Tanzania.
Wetter than usual conditions were observed in several parts of Burundi, in parts of western Rwanda, northwestern and eastern Tanzania, in parts of western Kenya, and in southern parts of Somalia.
No rain condition was observed in northern and central parts of Sudan.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in much of the rest of the region.
Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, northern Somalia, northern Uganda, coastal Kenya, and in central Tanzania.
Moderate wet to severely wet rainfall conditions were observed in Rwanda, Burundi, parts of southern Somalia, northwestern, western and eastern Tanzania, and in parts of western Kenya and southwestern Ethiopia.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
