Rainfall
Heavy rainfall between 500 - 1000 mm was observed western Ethiopia, in western South Sudan, in southeastern Uganda, in parts of western, central and coastal Kenya, and in parts of coastal and southern Tanzania.
Moderate to heavy rainfall between 200 - 500 mm were observed in much of South Sudan, in northern, central, and southwestern Ethiopia, in southern part of Somalia, in much of Uganda, in parts of western, central eastern and coastal Kenya, in much of Rwanda and Burundi, and in parts of northwestern, eastern and southern Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 10 - 200 mm was observed in southern parts of Sudan, several parts of Eritrea and Djibouti, in much of northern and central Somalia, in northeastern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern and eastern and southern parts of Kenya, and in northern, central and western parts of Tanzania
Dry conditions (usual during this time of the year) were observed in central and northern parts of Sudan.
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in the southern parts of Sudan, in southwestern, central and southern parts of Eritrea, in some parts of Djibouti, in parts of northern and southwestern Somalia, in northern and northeastern Ethiopia, in northern and eastern Kenya, in western Rwanda and eastern Burundi, and in western, southern and northeastern Tanzania.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in eastern and southern parts of Sudan, in northwestern Eritrea, in some parts of Djibouti, in western, central, southern and eastern Ethiopia, in much of South Sudan and Uganda, in western and central parts of Kenya, in southeastern parts of Somalia, in eastern Rwanda and western Burundi, and in northern and eastern parts of Tanzania.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed in a few areas in central Somalia, southeastern Ethiopia, and in central Tanzania.
Moderate to severely wet rainfall conditions were observed in southern parts of Sudan, in parts of western and central Eritrea, in some places in northern, central and northeastern Ethiopia, in western part of South Sudan, in parts of northern and southwestern Somalia, in northern and eastern parts of Kenya, in western Rwanda, in several parts of Burundi, and in western, southern and northeastern parts of Tanzania.
Moderately dry to severely dry conditions were observed in the western and central parts of Sudan, in western and southeastern Ethiopia, in northwestern, central and southern parts of South Sudan, in central parts of Somalia, in northeastern and southwestern parts of Uganda, in western and southern areas around Lake Victoria, and in part of central Tanzania
