Rainfall
- Moderate rainfall (between 500 - 1000 mm) observed over most of Burundi, and most of north-western, western, central, and southern parts of Tanzania.
- Light rainfall between (200 - 500 mm) observed in most of Rwanda, southern Uganda, western, southern, central and coastal parts of Kenya, and northern, north-eastern, and eastern parts of Tanzania.
- Rainfall between 10 - 200 mm observed over coastal, central, and southern Eritrea, coastal Djibouti, northern, central, and southern Ethiopia, southern parts of South Sudan, northern and central Uganda, and most of northern and eastern Kenya extending to south-western Somalia.
- Dry conditions (normal for this time of the year) observed in most parts of Sudan, Somalia, western Eritrea, south-western Djibouti, northern and central parts of South Sudan, and north-western and eastern parts of Ethiopia.
- Wetter than normal conditions observed in south-western Uganda, western, coastal, and eastern Kenya, south-western Somalia, most of Rwanda, north-eastern Burundi, and most of northern Tanzania.
- Normal rainfall conditions observed in south-western and south-eastern South Sudan, central and coastal Eritrea, coastal Djibouti, northern and western Ethiopia, most of central and southern Uganda, western and central parts of Kenya, western Burundi, and in most of western central, southern, and coastal Tanzania.
- Moderately drier than normal conditions observed in western and southern parts of South Sudan, central, southern, and north-eastern Ethiopia, northern Uganda, and northern Kenya.
- Much drier than normal conditions observed in central and northern Somalia, and eastern parts of Ethiopia.
- Moderately to severely wetter than normal conditions observed in western and south-western Uganda, western and eastern parts of Kenya extending to south-western Somalia, most of Rwanda, northern Burundi, and in northern, central, and eastern parts of Tanzania.
- Normal rainfall conditions observed in western and central parts of Ethiopia, south-western and south-eastern South Sudan, central and southern Uganda, over margins of north-eastern and central Kenya, and in western and southern parts of Tanzania.
- Moderately to severely drier than normal conditions observed in western and southern-central South Sudan; northern, southern and eastern Ethiopia; several parts of Djibouti, northern and central parts of Somalia, northern Uganda, north-western Kenya, and isolated parts of western Tanzania.
