Rainfall
High rainfall amounts exceeding 1000mm was observed in the southern parts of Tanzania.
Rainfall amounts of between 500-1000mm were observed in western, central, eastern and southern parts of Tanzania, and in parts of western Kenya.
Moderate rainfall between 100 - 500 mm was observed in southwestern and central parts of Ethiopia, several parts of Uganda, in western, central and southern parts Kenya, in several parts of Rwanda and Burundi, and in northern and northeastern Tanzania.
Light rainfall between 10 - 100 mm was observed in Eritrea, Djibouti, western and southern parts of South Sudan, in northern and parts of eastern and central Ethiopia, in southern and northwestern Somalia, in northern Uganda, and in northern, eastern and coastal parts of Kenya.
Dry conditions of no rainfall less than 10mm were observed in much of Sudan, in western Eritrea, northwestern and eastern Ethiopia, in northern South Sudan, in northeastern Kenya, and in several parts of Somalia
Wetter than and much wetter than usual conditions were observed in central eastern and southern parts of Tanzania, in eastern and southeastern Uganda, in western, central and south-central parts of Kenya, in central southwestern and northern parts of Ethiopia and in central parts of Eritrea.
Drier than and much drier than usual conditions were observed several parts of South Sudan, in western parts of Eritrea, in eastern Ethiopia, in several parts of Somalia, in northwestern Kenya, in western Uganda, in eastern Rwanda, and in northern Burundi
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in western Eritrea, in Djibouti, in parts of north, central and southwestern Ethiopia, in southern parts of South Sudan, in several parts of Uganda, in northwestern, central and coastal Kenya, in western Rwanda, southern Burundi, and in northwestern, western and northeastern part of Tanzania.
No rain condition was observed in several parts of Sudan, in parts of northern South Sudan, in northeastern Somalia, and in parts of eastern Ethiopia.
Moderate to extremely wet rainfall conditions were observed in several parts of Tanzania, in western and south-central parts of Kenya, in southeastern Uganda, in central southwestern, and northern parts of Ethiopia, and in parts of central and southern Eritrea.
Moderately dry to extremely dry conditions were observed in several parts of South Sudan and Rwanda, in western Eritrea, in eastern Ethiopia, in northern and central parts of Somalia, in northeastern Kenya, in much of western Uganda, and in much of northern Burundi.
Usual rainfall conditions were observed in the rest of the region.
